I wanted to create a work where three dogs of different colors are arrayed across the screen almost like chess pieces. Red dog, black dog, yellow dog. The way they interact with the viewer reveals something about their personalities. Buddy on the left is his own man, with a bit of the Frenchman about him. Gus in the middle is a big love, looking to the viewer for confirmation. Zoe on the right is obedient but questioning the whole premise.
